A 47-year-old member asked:
what is the best blocked tear duct treatment - artificial tears?

Dr. William Cappaert answered
Ophthalmology 59 years experience
Massage eyelid: Artificial tears will not help. Gentle massage of the inner corner of the lower eyelid may open the duct. Probing of the tear duct by an ophthalmologist may be needed.
