I am taking buspar (buspirone) and want to know what are the side effects?

There are several: but the most common are nausea and dizziness. If Buspirone is started at low doses (5-10 mg) twice a day and gradually escalated to therapeutic doses (usually 30-60 mg/day). Pharmacists are your best experts in this, and they are the ones you should be asking, and/or the prescriber. Headache, anxiety, depression, insomnia can also occur. Serotonin syndrome is the worst side effect.

Usually none.: Buspar (buspirone) side effects may include: headache, feeling tired, dizziness, premature ejaculation, insomnia, tremor, nausea, vomiting, constipation, loose stools, abdominal discomfort, dry mouth, nervousness, depressed or angry mood, rapid heart rate, chest pain, nasal congestion & rash. It tends to be a well tolerated medication.
