Is it indeed a bite?: The body reacts to various things in different ways. If it indeed is a bite, whatever the insect, it may have injected a venom. This indeed causes swelling. Particularly a bee sting, which does not always hurt at the moment. Skin infections can also resemble insect bites at first. If there is any redness, fever and chills, it becomes a mores serious situation.
