They occur in 35-45% of 2-18 year olds. They do not stop at 18 years old however, many adults continue to have these vivid nightmares. You're not alone.

Nightmares: There really is no scientific validity to dream interpretation, but some recurring dreams may be triggered by specific cues--this can happen at the cellular level in the brain.
