Baby's health: Rh factor typically does not affect fertility, but it can affect a woman's secondary and beyond pregnancies if she is rh negative and her partner is rh positive. The baby inherits the positive trait and those rh+ proteins can get in the mother's blood. Her body then makes antibodies against this protein. The next time she gets pregnant, the antibodies can attack the fetus. Rhogam shots can prevent.
