Not hereditary: Anti-yo refers to an antibody that the immune system makes in response, typically, to some type of cancer in the body. That antibody then attacks parts of the nervous system (usually cerebellum). It is not related to any type of hereditary conditions. Your risk of developing it would be the same as the general population. I hope your mom is doing well.
