I bit my tongue really hard when i had a grand mal seizure. it happened a couple of days ago. i have been using orajel but it is really not helping.

Tongue lesion: If you have yet to see a doctor regarding your seizure activity, this would be a good place to start. Tongue injuries usually heal well without medical intervention. If you have continued swelling, bleeding or severe pain then you should be seen by a doctor.

Bruise: Like a bruise anywhere else on your body it will take time to heal. Should be pretty much gone in 2 weeks from insult. If not, see your Dentist. Try 1 200 mg Ibuprofen/Advil/Motrin every 4 hours to take the edge off. Instead of Orajel use Orabase-B.
