I'm having recurrent uti's. i just finished a course of bractim 800/150 about 2 weeks ago. i felt better for a few days, now it's back and worse. why?

Complicated question: The simple answer is the bacteria causing the most recent UTI is resistant to Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) and will require a different antibiotic. The more complicated issue is the cause of the recurrent utis and for this, you likely should see a urologist. There are many causes for this, but some medications, including bupropion can cause urinary hesitancy/retention, which increases your risk for uti.
