Need to see a doctor: More information is needed and you need to see a doctor for a diagnosis, asthma, acid reflux, post nasal drip due to allergic rhinitis , are the main causes of a chronic cough in a young person, in addition to a history and an exam performed by the doctor , chest x ray , pulmonary function tests, blood work might be needed to make a diagnosis.

Cough: If you have cough for 3months it may be allergic or infectious. Do you have post nasal drip? Talk it over and see your dr.
