Neck pain: You are likely describing some muscle spasms which has caused the neck xray to straighten instead of having a natural curve. The Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) was intended to reduce the neck spasms. I would recommend you take alleve 2 tablets per day with food. If there are no red flags then i would several weeks to see if your pain improves before considering a mri.
