I haven't had my mirena (levonorgestrel) removed it expired in november 2013. for the last 4 months my breasts have been hurting and i've been nauseated. .pregnancy?

Not if in place: Mirena (levonorgestrel) is fda approved for up to 5 years of use. However, several studies have shown that it is likely effective for up to at least 7 years. If your iud is still in proper place, then it is unlikely that your pregnant. Check home pregnancy test and iud strings. If pregnancy test is "+" or if you cannot feel your strings, see your clinician asap. Otherwise, get iud replaced when ur able to.
