Baking Soda Bath: A baking soda bath can be soothing for itching or irritated skin. This may be a comfort for your 2 year old with a viral rash if she is fussy. Be sure the water is tepid. Warm water can increase histamine release and worsen itching. Tincture of time and mom's nurturing and this will pass.
