Teething at 1 year: Do not use any topical anesthetics! i would also avoid pain medication. The best method is to have her bite on a chilled teething ring. It's probably more painful for you than her.

Teething: There are many of things you can do before resorting to pain relief products or teething gels. Apply cold spoon over your baby's sore gums to numb the pain, give your baby a teething ring. The teething gels usually contain a local anesthetic and an antiseptic, will alleviate the pain the pain and prevent infection. Rec.: check with your pediatrician for more information.

Lots: Gently massage gums with your fingers. Give child washcloth that has been moistened then placed in freezer. Try one of the chill able teething rings. DO NOT tie to baby,s clothing because of strangulation risk. As soon as 1st tooth appears, but no later than 1st b'day, make appointment with Pedodontist, a Pediatric Dental Specialist.
