Sciatica : Methylprednisolone is a steroid which reduces nerve root inflammation. Steroids can cause agitation, insomnia, increased appetite, and night sweats. The amount of steroid should be reduced and even stopped if the side effects are too severe or of the nerve pain has subsided to tolerable levels.

Speak with doctor: Never change your dose without consultation of your physician. While the restlessness and agitation maybe a normal side effect of the steroid, you may need to discuss with you doctor what options you have regarding this issue. Likely even if you took less, it will not change the restlessness until you fully stop taking the medication as it will stay in your system for a few days after the dose.
