No...: I know it's likely not the answer you'd like to hear, but no physician should tell you it is acceptable to smoke, due to all the side effects, both short and long term, that can come from it. Additionally, you should know that there is a definite association between smoking and delayed wound healing, especially right after a surgery. Good luck to you in your recovery!
