Is it safe to get your gall bladder out if your pregnant?

Please ask your docs: Usually not done unless you are in bad shape as it is usually managed conservatively and then you get induced early and get the baby out safely before u have another attack and then they can do whatever they want if the gall bladder is in bad shape then u have no choice the ideal time to have it out during preg is the early 2nd trimester but your docs should go over all the pros and cons with u.

Yes, usually: The best time for surgery is in the middle trimester. Not so early as to affect the baby's development but early enough that the uterus doesn't get in the way. Most prefer to wait until after delivery for elective surgery, however, some operations can't wait and then the theoretical risk to the baby is outweighed by real risk for the mom. Ask your OB doc to suggest a plan.
