Does having a genital sore automatically mean that you are infected with an std?

See a doctor: Genital sores need to be evaluated in person with a primary care doctor or a gynecologist. Some of the infections if untreated can have long-lasting complications.

No, but see Dr: Stdss are a cause, but there are others. Also, if your body already has been harboring a herpes infection (i.e., cold sores) stress or other resistence-lowered conditions can bring on an outbreak. Non-std causes: atopic and contact dermatitis, nonspecific vulvovaginitis, lichen planus, lichen sclerosis, seborrheic dermatitis, vitiligo, cysts, absesses. Have an exam. Best!
