Tinnitus and TMJ: Tinnitus is noise or ringing in the ears. There is no drug for cure. Tinnitus is not a disease, but a condition that can result from many underlying causes (e.g. Tmj). Rec.: see ENT or orofacial pain specialist to rule out secondary pathology.

ENT consult: Tinnitus is the ringing noise in the ear. Clicking noise is different than tinnitus. If you have an overactive tmj, which is called subluxation, rubbing of the condyle head of the mandible, with the articular disk can give you clicking noise.Tinnitus is a constant ringing noise in the ear.Consult with ear, nose, throat specialist is recommended, to rule out ear problem.Oral surgeon can evaluate your tmj.

Treat TMJ: Tinnitus can be related to TMJ or primarily to the ear. If it is related to the TMJ, when the TMJ is treated successfully then the TMJ related tinnitus should improve.
