Something amiss: Could be a piece of loose cartilage or a meniscal tear. The burning sensation could be the twig of an entrapped nerve or simple inflammation and swelling within the joint upon putting it under heavy stress and exertion physically when you cycle. Your best advice to see your doctor to start with for a checkup. May be something minor which will resolve with conservative treatment.
