Swelling: You did not say how long the swelling has been present. This is something that needs an exam to tell you what is going on. See your dentist or an oral surgeon for this evaluation asap.

See your dentist: Sublingual glands (two glands) are located under the floor of the mouth. It could be a normal anatomical structure under your tongue. Abnormal glands are caused by obstruction, inflammation, infection, tumor or autoimmune disorder and usually painful. Rec.: see your dentist for examination and diagnosis.

Sublingual gland: You may have a ranula which is a collection of mucous from your sublingual gland. You need to see and Oral and Maxillofacial for treatment.
