Local anesthesia a week ago caused cheek swelling, and my mouth corner still isn't working right (smiling, whistling, etc.) is this permanent?

Transient: Parasthesia or temporary lack of sensation due to the tissue injury and inflammation. Rec.: see your dentist for post-op evaluation. Medrol (methylprednisolone) dose pack is warranted in these cases.

It shouldn't be...: .. But in any event, your dentist should be notified so that you can be evaluated and possibly put on medication.
