A positive test: You simply take a pregnancy test. If it is positive then you are experiencing bleeding during pregnancy and need to be evaluation. A simple urine pregnancy test will give you your answer.

NO: If you are bleeding during a pregnancy, this could be a threatened miscarriage or implantation bleeding. Periods are a result of normal ovulation cycles, whereas bleeding during pregnancy is usually abnormal.
