I have multiple ulcers in my lips, painful white bumps on my tongue, hurts when i swallow, and my gums are swollen. what can it be?

Two problems: 1. Canker sores are the most common oral lesions. Individual ulcers typically last 7-10 days or less. The condition is idiopathic recurrent aphthous ulcers is usually self-limiting. 2. Swollen gums can be a sign that you are at risk for, or already have, gum disease. See a dentist for evaluation and treatment. Rec.: see a dentist for evaluation, imaging and treatment.

Depends...: Certain std's can cause this, if you are sexually active make sure you get tested for that first. That aside, this can be caused by bacteria or virus in your mouth. If you prefer home remedies, an oral rinse of 1:1 water and hydrogen peroxide, squished in the mouth for 30 seconds twice a day, May be helpful. Also consider "oil pulling" using coconut oil. Do a Google search on it.
