Primary oral herpes?: Sounds like you might have primary (i.e. intitial infection) with oral herpes simplex virus, probably type 1 (HSV1). Effective treatment is available but must be started promptly. See your GP ASAP; or if it might have been sexually acquired (partner with known oral or genital herpes, new partner, etc) consider visiting one of UK's excellent NHS GUM clinics. Probably unrelated to your late period.
