Gently: Baby shampoo is recommended solely because it has less potential to irritate the eye. To wash the lid, use your ordinary facial wash, dry it off and then rub the baby shampoo into the lash line using the edge of a wash cloth or a cotton tip applicator. Then rinse and dry and apply ointments or eyedrops if recommended by your ophthalmologist.
