Bleeding: Mobic (meloxicam) can cause stomach ulcers. Black stools means you have been bleeding from your stomach most likely. Urge you to follow up as soon as possible with a physician.

Bleeding stomach?: Although it may be due to diet or meds (iron, pepto-bismol), black stool can be a serious sign of bleeding from the stomach. If the stool also has a consistency of tar, or if you are vomiting (especially if it looks like coffee grounds or red) weak, pale, lightheaded or short of breath, go to an er now. If you otherwise feel okay and you stool is normally formed, call your doctor for an appt.
