Bleeding/Cramps/Expu: Most common symptom is vaginal bleeding , that can vary from light spotting, brownish discharge or heavy bleedin.Bleeding may come and go over many days.It is followed by cramps and expulsion of the product of conception as spontaneous abortion is completed if there is bleeding only, at this stage it is called threatened abortion.
Dr. Brendan Rice
Family Medicine 18 years experience
Bleeding is primary: Some of the typical symptoms of a spontaneous abortion (miscarriage) include: - vaginal bleeding (can start light and become heavier) - moderate to severe cramps - pelvic or abdominal pain, especially if associated with nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea - disappearance of pregnancy symptoms, such as swollen/tender breasts note that not everyone experiences all of these. Bleeding is the main concern.
Dr. Manuel Herrera

Bleeding and pain: Vaginal bleeding, cramping, pelvic pain, and passage of blood clots plus tissue vaginally. However, these symptoms may also occur without necessarily aborting.
