If i had a transvaginal cerclage and it failed what should i do? would i be a candidate for a transabdominal cerclage?

Not necessarily: Most experts recommend reserving this procedure for patients that have cervical insufficiency who have had either failed 2 or more cervical cerclages or in a patient where a cervical cerclage cannot be placed (ex: significant shortening, scarring, or cervical laceration).
