Otolaryngologist: Consult an Otolaryngologist for careful examination of your pharynx and larynx. The larynx is more involved in speech. Could your intermittent throat discomfort be from tension in the throat and/or neck musculature? You may be referred to a speech therapist if no pathology is found.
