Acute cough: 2 weeks seems like an eternity when you have a bad cough but in medical terms, it isn't very long. In fact, if you've recently had a cold or other upper respiratory infection, you can have a cough for up to 6 or 8 weeks post infection! the medication you're on is good. Also if you're serious about stopping your cough, stop smoking, it's not helping you. Good luck :).
