Tooth pain cure: The pain from an infected tooth usually ends when the infection is cured but this tends to be a temporary fix. The tooth is compromised in some way that allowed it to become infected in the first place and will allow it to become infected again. A root canal would be curative in most cases but as i tell dozens of er patients a week, "you really need to see a dentist". Good luck :).

Yes: Typically, you should not have pain if you have completed your root canal procedure and the infection is done with. You might experience some sensitivity for a couple of months but it should be within tolerable limits.

Yes and yes: When a tooth that is highly infected and has a root end abscess is treated endodonticly, the abscess is still present in the bone. It takes time for the body to heal
