A member asked:

Can h. pylori be cured? if yes how long does it usually take? i've been diagnosed for 19 months. and it has been treated but it don't go away. why?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: You likely have a "resistant strain" and a different course of antibiotics will need to be used. By the way the blood test will always be positive even after treatment will need a "breath test" or stool test to confirm cured.
