Not low: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, your calcium level, if it is 12 mg/% is actually higher than normal. Please visit this site and discuss the matter with your doctor. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003477.htm.

High: A calcium of 12 is high, not low. Not sure who told you it's low. If you have questions about your labs, best person to talk to is the physician who ordered the labs.
