Depends: After three weeks, i would not call this acute appendicitis. If your appendix is inflamed, surgical standard of care is still to remove the appendix. There are other things than can cause this type pain, and hopefully the ct scan will help identify the true cause and he can guide you in the right direction to get better. It is good you saw your doc for this condition.
