DIAPER RASH: To prevent diaper rash, wash baby with soap and water when changing diapers and apply a&d ointment. To treat diaper rash, apply antifungal cream like mycolog, nystatin. Bactroban (mupirocin) can be used for secondary infections (bacterial).

Yes,but: Bactroban (mupirocin) will not work on a bacterial infection. Moist diaper rashes are either yeast or irritant so it may not work. A temporary use will not hurt the area try micatiin and diaper paste and see pediatrician if to persists.
