Yes: Yes it will probably be safe. The low back is probably one of the safest places to do "blind" prolotherapy. I would not do the thoracic region blind because of the risk of hitting the lung. Because there is no guidance involved you will probably have to have more injections and more solution used as precision will not be as great. It still should be successful for you if that is what you need.

Yes: Prolotherapy does not require ultrasound guidance, and actually for doctors with a "high end" skill set, ultrasound gets in the way. Injured tissue feels different to the touch by finger and also to the touch by needle.
