Its okay: This is okay and is relatively normal and not a problem if she is having descending number of periods.

Period changes: If your wife is your age, she should see an ob/gyn doctor or her family physician who does her pap smears . There should not be that much variability in her cycle. Good luck and feel better!

Normal: The average menstrual cycle is about 29 days so this is entirely normal. Menstrual periods were entrained to the moon but in the age of artificial lights this is less common.
