UTI: Frequent urination is a sign of urine infection. Very common post-menstruation. Usually resolves on its own. If symptoms persist. Get checked.

Urination: Your uterus and bladder lie right next to each other. Anything affecting the sensitivity of the uterus can also irritate the bladder and make you feel that you have to go more often. The uterus gets a little bigger prior to your period and there is an increase in chemicals in the uterus that make it irritable and cramps. This is most likely what you are experiencing.
