Yes: Starting the NuvaRing at that time could delay and alter the length of your period. Usually you would wait for a period to begin your first cycle of nuvaring, but you haven't caused yourself any harm. You should get a period after you finish the 28 days of this cycle and remove the ring. It's a good birth control method. Finally, make sure you are not pregnant with a good urine pregnancy test.
