Yoga for stress: Yes it may help if she takes it seriously including breathing exercises, can add relaxation exercises with that.

Stress and yoga: Yoga and other forms of medative exercises can help one deal with stress. It is worth a try perhaps now that she has a new focus - the stressors in her life they won't be so boring.
