A member asked:

I have been getting recurring yeast infections & oral thrush since december . my bloodwork came back fine. my doctor doesn't think this is systematic. i think that it is and i need a long term anti-fungal med to treat it. can i get feedback ?

Controversial: There is no easy answer to that question as there is no hard medical evidence for the "systemic yeast infection." That being said, medicine is an art and I have treated several of my patients with recurrent yeast infections more aggressively with diflucan (fluconazole). I have also done fungal cultures to determine if there is another fungal cause that requires a different anti-fungal medication.
