Fish Oil: Fish oil supplies essential omega-3 fats that our bodies cannot make on their own. They can lower triglycerides, prevent heart disease, help reduce high blood pressure, and reduce inflammation in the body. Fish oil helps ward off depression too. In general, most people need at least 1-2 grams of epa and 500mg dha per day in a fish oil preparation. No prescription is needed.
