Who says?: Who says you have to accept or forgive a cheating husband? Surely not a physician. If you want to work through therapy then getting help that way may be wise.

This is tough: First, you don't have to, but there's no doubt that you will be better off if you can forgive. If you're committed to salvaging the marriage (and people do recover from infidelity), then recognize that forgiveness is a process that can unfold over a long period of time. It helps if the offender is remorseful, and accepts responsibility for the impact of his actions.
