Calorie Restriction: Balanced calorie restriction is the best method for healthy weight loss. Eliminating 500 calories a day, with at least 3 days a week of exercise is the safest approach. Exercise is to increase your bmr, not for the actual weight loss. Reducing the carbohydrated percentage of total ingested calories is also wise. See a nutritionist.
