How can people with one eye see?

Fairly well: Hopefully the remaining eye is normal. They cannot see true stereo vision and there is a limit of the field of vision towards the blind side. But otherwise, a normal, single eye will all full function for most activities and you probably have come into contact with those with only one eye and never new it from their visual function.
