No future in this: Maybe you meant no harm & thought you were giving "helpful guidance", but it must change. Offer to sit down with somebody you both know and respect and see if you can come to forgiveness and receiving forgiveness, and plan a future as brothers who might actually someday love each other again. Relationships are more important than being right. Resolve never to criticize or even "guide" him.
