Will vitiligo be transmitted from parent to child, either genetically or as some sort of contagion?

Not contagious: Vitiligo is thought to be an auto-immune condition where a persons body attacks the pigment cells in the skin. While there can be some familial tendency to have auto-immune diseases, it's unlikely that parent and child would both have vitiligo.
