Start slowly: It is best to start with a warmup (such as a few minutes on a rowing machine or bicycle) to warm your muscles. Some of the best full body exercises are: pull ups, push ups, overhead presses, and squats. These are functional moves that involve many muscle groups. Also, mix in some cardio as well. However, start slowly - don't overdo it. And stretch at the end.
