Talk to doctor...: If you are a transgender person, you may find it hard to focus on other things until you get some help - both in the form of counseling and perhaps hormones if transition is desired. If you have ocd that is not treated, or treated suboptimally, address this. Know that treating ocd will not make gender issues disappear. Information is power. Check out wpath.Org. Lgromkomd.

"Sitting" with "O's": Obsessions r thoughts u don't want -ones that cause distress. Gender identity is typically formed by age 10, so unless someone has felt uncomfortable w/their gender as assigned @ birth from a young age, it's unlikely that they'd begin doubting their gender id in their 40's. As with any obsession, then label it as such. Try to sit w/ the thought instead of pushing it away. Try bringing it on, even!
