What degree is considered a fever in a 4 year old child?

Fever: Temperatures of 100 f are not normal. If the body temperature fails to get as low as 98.6 sometime during the course of 24 hrs, technically that is also fever. These are rectal temps, not oral or tympatic which may be less than the rectal temps.
